On September 6th, 2025, the Business Coalition led by the Ghana Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF) successfully planted 1,000 trees in the Shai Hills Resource Reserve – a remarkable demonstration of corporate environmental leadership. This initiative represents a powerful model of how private sector action can directly contribute to Ghana’s environmental restoration while strengthening our collective commitment to climate resilience.
The Shai Hills Resource Reserve in Greater Accra is a critical ecological zone supporting diverse wildlife and providing essential ecosystem services to surrounding communities. Years of deforestation and environmental degradation have challenged the reserve, making this restoration initiative both timely and impactful.
